Lead Mining

The region is steeped in the history of Lead Mining. These pages will point you in the

 | Coldberry and the Hudeshope Valley, County Durham. Located north west
of Middleton In Teesdale. The mines date back to 1730 and the whole valley has many spoil
heaps and shaft entrances. There is an exhibition, a shop, good walks, a lot of
