Alston, Cumbria. Superbly located in England's highest market town with
The Firs, Alston, CA9  3RW handy access to many fine fell walks. Lead Mining is only

ok for C2C drive. Roman sites are about 30 minutes drive.
Greenhead, Cumbria. Located to the north of the region on A69 very close to
Near Carlisle, CA6  7HG the Roman sites. Good road access to Brampton,

an obvious amount of good walking close at hand.
Ninebanks, Northumberland. Located in a very beautiful area with Allendale and the
Orchard House, Mohope, Near Hexham, NE47 8DO Lead Mining centres about 20 minutes drive. This is an

ok for C2C in all directions. 15 minutes drive to the nearest pub.
Langdon Beck, County Durham Excellent location in Upper Teesdale. On the Pennine Way
Forest In Teesdale, Barnard Castle. DL12  0XN with lots of good walking. High Force is nearby and there

Killhope and Allenheads.
Dufton, Cumbria. On the Pennine Way and Cumbria Cycle Way. Excellent
Redstones, Dufton, Appleby, CA16  6DB walks, check out High Cup Nick. Good access by road

in the area as a whole.
Once Brewed, Northumberland The right place to be for the superb Roman sites, to the
Military Road, Bardon Mill, NE47 7AN north of the region. Hexham is about 15 minutes drive.
